7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio.

Use this free application to extract the information from the files below. You will only require this application if you do not already have a ZIP file utility.
Note: Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 have built-in file compression tools.

Works with .ZIP, .RAR and .7z file types

All of the Pictures used within Map Source, Base Camp, Memory Map and Ozi Explorer are located on the Camps and Vans Sky Drive.

You must have a invitation to my Sky Drive which will allow you to download all of the Photos.

Depending on which Map Source gdb file you have downloaded (C or D drive) will depend on where you need to store the photos. Either way they must be stored under "Drive Letter":\Camps and Vans\Pictures\"State"

If you would like to send me a reply paid envelope with a USB stick I will send it back with all of the Photos & Files etc. (min size 4gb)

Custom symbols of POI's used by the various Map files to identify different waypoints within Map Source and Base Camp and Ozi Explorer, Google Earth & Two Nav.

To use within Map Source & Base Camp, The individual symbols must be saved in the folder \Documents\My Garmin\Custom Waypoint Symbols.

To use within Ozi Explorer, The individual symbols must be saved in the folder C:\Camps and Vans\Custom Waypoint Symbols.

Satellite Dish.gdb : POI File showing the Satellite Positions showing the Elevation of the Dish, Direction of the Dish & the LNB Position so that you can obtain Satellite TV.

TV Towers.gdb : POI File showing the TV Towers to give you a indication as to where to point your TV antenna to obtain the best TV Reception.

School Zones.gdb : POI File showing the School Zone areas.

Phone Towers.gdb : POI File showing the Telstra Phone Towers so that you might get a better reception.

Copy the *.gdb to your hard drive under C:\Documents\My Garmin. Make sure that when you open Map Source go to \File\Preferences\File Location\Default File Location\ and make sure that the path is the same as where you have stored this file.

To view the gdb file within Map Source open Map Source then click on \file\open and locate the gdb file that you wish to open as per above.

To view within Base Camp open Base Camp then click on \File\Import and select the gdb file that you wish to open.

To add a shortcut to your Desktop, using Windows Explorer locate the gdb file and right click on the file and click on \Send To\Desktop. This will create a shortcut on your desktop, then all you need to do is click on this shortcut which will then open Map Source and load the gdb files.

Australia : POI File containing all of the POI’s for Camps, Caravan Parks & Dump Sites. These are split up into each states Camps and Caravan Parks plus the Dump Sites.

Note: Pictures stored on C drive under C:\Camps and Vans\Pictures\"Each State"

To view within Base Camp open Base Camp then click on \File\Import and select the gdb file that you wish to open.

Camping and Caravan sites as well as Public and Non Guest Dump Sites for the whole of Australia, without embedded images.

Copy this gpi file to your Garmin GPS or SD card within your Garmin GPS under the folder \Garmin\POI

Camping and Caravan sites for NSW, with embedded images.

As well as Public & Non Guest Dump Sites with no images.

Copy the gpi file to either your Garmin GPS or SD Card within your Garmin GPS to the folder \Garmin\POI

Camping and Caravan sites for QLD, with embedded images.

As well as Public & Non Guest Dump Sites with no images.

Copy the gpi file to either your Garmin GPS or SD Card within your Garmin GPS to the folder \Garmin\POI

As Navman have a maximum capacity of 12,000 Custom POI's before functionality becomes affected, I have split up all of the POI's into their respective States.

This way you can load onto your unit the POI's for the State that you want.

Download all of the files, make sure that you have the csv file, .bmp files (Custom Waypoint Symbols - Under MapSource) & the .wav file (Sound Files - Under General) for each of the POI categorys.

Using the software provided with your GPS (Should be Nav Desk) load these files onto your GPS.

As Mio have a maximum capacity of 12,000 Custom POI's before functionality becomes affected, I have split up all of the POI's into their respective States.

This way you can load onto your unit the POI's for the State that you want.

Download all of the files, make sure that you have the csv file, .bmp files (Custom Waypoint Symbols - Under MapSource) & the .wav file (Sound Files - Under General) for each of the POI categorys.

Using the software provided with your GPS (Should be Mio More Desktop) load these files onto your GPS.

Copy this file as per the instructions for Ozi Explorer, Also download the Sound Files & Custom Waypoint Symbols & Pictures as per above downloads.

Make sure that you have the sound files in C:\Camps and Vans\Sounds\”.wav”
Pictures under C:\Camps and Vans\Pictures\”State”
bmp files under C:\Camps and Vans\Custom Waypoint Symbols\”.bmp”

You will need to make sure that under \File\Configeration\GPS\ that GPS Symbol Set is set to Garmin Symbols.

Download all of the files, make sure that you have all of the KML files, .bmp files for each of the POI categorys.

Copy the KML files to your IGO8 POI Directory on your GPS. \IGO\Contents\Userdata\POI

Copy the BMP files to your IGO8 Directory on your GPS. \IGO\Contents\Userdata\Icons

Import this csv file into Memory Map.

Load txt file for ability to search via >Search>Load Database>Txt file

Ensure that you have downloaded and installed the Icons as well.

Download all of the files, make sure that you have the OV2 file, .bmp files & the .mp3 file for each of the POI categorys.

Copy all of the files into a folder of your choice on your Navig8r GPS.

Download all of the files, make sure that you have the OV2 file, .bmp files & the .mp3 file for each of the POI categorys.

Copy all of the files to your Tom Tom GPS.

We are still waiting on some new procedures from CompeGPS to include everything in the waypoint file, in the mean time we have provided all of the waypoints in a csv format that you will need to load into CompeGPS then once loaded send to your GPS. Any problems please contact me.

Also copy the CustomWaypointSymbols.zip that is in the other zip files below into the symbols directory of CompeGPS.
